Guernsey Association of Sports Coaches

The GASC was formed in October 1997 with the primary aim of raising the profile of Guernsey Sports Coaches. The key objectives of the GASC are:

• To raise the quality of coaching in Guernsey
• To protect and promote the interests of all coaches
• To promote and safeguard the interests and welfare of all performers through quality coaching
• To provide an opportunity for an exchange of ideas and discussion of problems common to local sport
• To encourage more people to take or gain a coaching qualification.

The main focus of the GASC’s existence is in the provision of coaching workshops for all coaches on the Island. These are run in conjunction with Sports Coach UK who supply the tutors and relevant work booklets that go with the workshops.
