Swimming
Great Britain International Selection

Guernsey’s most successful swimmer, our queen of the pool. Her selection for the Great Britain Short Course Championships team underlined her status as the Islands top swimmer. No other local has competed at such a high level. Twice Helen has swum for her Island at the Commonwealth Games. Her career peaked in 1998 when she collected two medals at the National Long Course Championships in Sheffield. Against the odds she won the bronze in the 50 breast stroke and went on to win a silver in the 100 breast. At Island Games level the Beau Sejour Barracuda has been not much short of invincible.
